So I went to do the usual, give food and water to my ducks, and the one was not looking quite right so I separated her and gave her water. (I now have her in my quarantine coop). She is slightly shaky. She is also glued to the water bucket, just constantly drinking, she refused to eat. I put a mealworm in the water and she ate that but nothing else. Her neck also feels a little swollen, and the skin is red. She is a 6 year old Kaki Campbell, and is at the end of a molt. None of the other ducks are having a problem.

I'm so sorry. When did she last lay an egg? How many drakes do you have? When you say her neck is red, is it on the back of her neck or all over? How is her breathing? Has she improved or gotten any worse since you found her? Where are you located (not exact location but a general area)

I am in Pennsylvania, and my run is covered and they have not been out of their run since mid January because of the HPAI going around the east coast. There are also no migrating birds I have seen around me.

I have 24 ducks total, with 6 drakes and 18 hens, though she hangs out with two drakes and one hen only, will not hang out with any of the other ducks. She does not lay mutch any more, the last time I think she laid an egg was before her molt 1 month ago. The back and crop side of the neck is swollen. Her breathing seems fine. She has a a weird posture normally, but it seems a little more off than usual. Found her 1 hour ago, so not mutch changed.

Are all of your ducks in the same run together? I know you have isolated her, but usually, are they all together? Her neck does look like she's been mated recently. Could some of the drakes jumped her, pulling her neck feathers? In my experience anytime my hens have fought, they pull at each other's chest feathers, so I wouldn't think this was done by a hen. Hopefully it's not anything serious and she'll be feeling better soon. You may want to let one of your more gentle ducks that she gets along with, join her. Ducks will oftentimes become stressed if kept away from their flock.

Yes they are all in one very large pen, I usually separate the drakes in the spring, when the drakes go too rough on the hens . But I’ll put her best friend (the other hen she hangs out with) in with her in the morning. What should I do about her not eating, that is my main concern.

How long has it been since she ate?

I had my sister give them food yesterday since I had work from 6am to 9pm ( two jobs) so I have no idea if she ate yesterday, but on Sunday she ate with everyone. This is how they normally eat. Video taken a few weeks ago
