Duck acting strangely

Is she preening herself at all? Since they have to stretch their neck when they preen, I’m just wondering if she can do normal things like that.
How about swimming? Does she swim and dive?
She does preen. She seems better in the pool.

My husband has a theory. Not sure if it’s true or not. She seems fine in the morning when we open their house. As the day goes on she seems worse. He thinks it was her crop and the blockage was flushed out by the vet. He thinks her crop is irritated still. When it is empty she doesn’t hurt and acts normal. As she eats, it feels funny. ????? Maybe?

Could be irritated for sure especially if the vet ran a tube down to clean it out, I'd call and see if there is something you can give her that can coat the area till it heals.

So her crop is empty in the mornings? if so then at least that is great relief.

Her crop is empty in the morning. I’ll have to see what ducks can take to sooth. She did put a tube down her.

Most vets use urinary catheter tubes that don't cause irritation. :) Let us know what the vet says about what soothing medications because this subject came up last week and none of us knew what could be given.
