Duck acting strangely

If the crop is the issue, I would try to get as many probiotics in her as you can. They sell poultry probiotics at TSC. But you don’t have to buy it specifically. The good bacteria will line her crop, making a protective layer. As well as chew up any residual leftovers if there is any.

My first gut reaction to the video is some kind of injury.

That could be from external or internal causes.

For example, could she have gotten her head stuck in something? My ducks have rarely woven their necks through fence. Or as has been suggested, some kind of obstruction....

Turmeric is a natural anti inflammatory and seems harmless to ducks. I give it to mine, with the vet’s blessing. It stains, though.

Drakes sometimes mount a duck with her neck over the edge of a swim pan or other object. Something like that can hurt their necks.

Most vets use urinary catheter tubes that don't cause irritation. :) Let us know what the vet says about what soothing medications because this subject came up last week and none of us knew what could be given.[/QUOT

I have probiotics and they love it. I give them Brewers yeast now too. It could be an injury too as our drake is 18 weeks and quite full of hormones. She was also trapped in brush last week. She didn’t seem hurt, but you never know. We had cut down a tree and hadn’t cleaned it up yet. I’m just babying her and giving lots of vitamins. I’ll try turmeric too. I take it myself. The vet hasn’t called back.
