I feel quite certain after the first 72 hours, the ducklings did not feel the same way. lol They were crazy! Not like baby wood duck crazy, but still insane.

Ok, so in the past couple of days, the girls (only 3 of which are likely about to lay) have created no less than 8 nests in the barn, but no eggs yet! I’m guessing they are going the Goldilocks route, waiting until one is “just right”!

I think another one of my girls is laying. I found three eggs in the run today, 75, 74, and 63 grams which makes me think a new saxony layer and new buff layer.

I’m pretty thorough with my cleaning, so I don’t think it’s the case (yet), but there is always that possibility. My Rouens would never hide eggs because they don’t have a broody or protective bone in their bodies, but the Muscovies would love a secret clutch. That being said, they always build nests for a short while before starting to lay.

My Muscovy are on strike. I got one tiny little egg and then nothing for weeks. I've no idea what the problem is.

Yeah, he's Gunter now. And you need a Rosita so you can do a Matthew McConaughey impression every time you go outside.

Lol… Funny, but I don’t know if I could see him with the name Gunter . I will look at more German names and maybe even some French names for my Rouen drake.

My Rouens were all named after berries. That got...confusing. lol

I think I like the name Albert, it’s German and I think it would be a good fit for him. Thanks for you guy’s input!
