What a nice flock you have! Oreo is very handsome and has such a nice family. Is he a black Swedish? Lacy was quite an adorable duckling!
I can’t help but notice the rabbit in the photo, does it have a name?
I love rabbits. I have eight currently.

I’m curious to know how loud all your calls get! Even my 19 can make a huge ruckus! Luckily I have no close neighbors. I can’t imagine being in town!

I have 23 ducks. We started with 7 from TSC, 6 Pekins and 1 Saxony. We rehomed 3 males, then needed to get more girls for the drake we kept, the Saxony. And why not add some Muscovy into the mix too. Then took in a duckling from a college student who knew nothing about them and was basically starving the duckling. Sweet little thing needed a friend of course and was only able to get a male duckling. That eventually led to well we probably need more females for him. The last three we added just cause we wanted to raise more ducklings. Plus I could get them shipped last minute for my birthday. Not sure if my husband wishes he didn't jokingly ask me if I wanted ducklings for my birthday .

I need to take some new pictures again. The vast majority of the pictures on my phone are of ducks now.

Wow gorgeous ducks and great pictures! I can never get pictures that good of my flock. Someone’s always moving or flying mid-photo.

My bf can never understand my need for all the ducks… I told him if it was an ultimatum I

I have 17 ducks. My "Bigs" consist of 2 Pekins, a Buff Orpington and a Cayuga. They're just over 2 years old. This Spring I hatched 6 Calls, 6 Aztec's and one Australian Spotted Duck. I can't wait to add more!!! My "Littles" are in an area that's visible to my clients (so I'm able to keep a close eye on them even while I'm working). Just today someone said, "What's with all the ducks?" I felt like

I’d love to add Aztecs, Australian Spotted, and mini silver appleyards soon. I’d love to see some current photos of your little Australian spotted and Aztecs.

Over the years, I’ve had Black Swedish, Saxony, Pekins and Calls.

I eventually converted to all Calls, and at one point, had 54 at the most. I have around 40 now. It’s a mostly-controlled addiction.

I think the calls are my favorite. They just hold a soft spot in my heart.

Fortunately for you, you have the self control to let go of ducklings. I get too attached at first glance!

I’m working on it though… (or trying anyway)

I’ve only got 4, although 5 was a better number (RIP Puddles). I resist the pull towards duck addiction mainly as I’m the only one that cleans up after them. 4 or 5 ducks make enough mess to keep me busy! Plus, they spend the coldest part of winter (and nighttime all-year) in the barn. Cleaning in sub-zero temperatures has sub-zero charm.

Yeah. I control my urges to get more to control the amount of duck poop I have to clean up! At this point, ducks will only be added if friends are needed. If something happens to my older Rouen (which it hopefully will not), for example, I will have to get my lil remaining Rouen some Rouen friends!

So sorry you lost puddles. She was a special girl. I remember reading your posts about her. Yes, ducks are very messy (even the bantam ones)! I’ll clean their house late at night and go let them out in the morning only to find it a disaster again. You have Muscovies as well right?

How is Daphne doing lately? She is such a strong girl.

Oreo is actually a mule duck. A mix between Peking and Muscovy. I lucked out when I got a rare fertile muleduck XD. The rabbit is one of my babies. She is an american giant chinchilla that we named snowflake. She is one of four. Our other three are honey, and frost, a mother and daughter pair of newzealands, and honey's father, marshmallow, also a newzealand.
