Definitely lies. If they don't eat it they stomp it to death with their flat feet. Or just noodle around the roots until they unearth it.
I had a beautiful pile of hens and chicks before I had ducks.
They didn't even eat them ..just picked it to pieces and left them for dead.

Mine toooooo....What did those hens and chicks do to the ducks to deserve death???

I’d love to see some pictures of your chickens! You should add some ducks! They are wonderful creatures (contrary to what @duluthralphie believes).

As I walk through Lowes garden center I am saying I use to have some of these [naming the plant] of course that was before I was blessed with ducks and chickens.

100% in denial. We have 5 and are only going to keep hens (as we have a female Khaki campbell and 4 pekin 2 male 2 female) and my spouse is looking forward to eating males. I keep saying there is time for the 2 to quack still even though they are pushing 7wks old and rasp still

What are calls good for? I know they're cute and I'd love to have maybe just a trio, but I always have to have a reason for getting another animal. Why does everyone keep them?

Literally nothing but cuteness and companionship. Sort of like a cat or a hamster.
