We have 4 hens, 1 roo, and 1 drake (the other duck was killed by a dog at about 4 months of age) who all successfully share a coop and run. The duck is #2 in the pecking order. They had to be separated as they grew (the ducks grew more quickly and began plucking out the chicks' feathers, then the chicks got taller and bigger and began to peck the ducks' heads), but they all get along well now. Be careful when they are young - the ducks throw water everywhere, and the chicks need to be dry.
The roo and the drake are really funny - they fuss and herd the hens around, and when the hens fly out of the run to range, they just walk around the run and grumble - male bonding, do you think?
