Duck bedding

Update. Stall is still doing well with original bedding and daily "fluffings" and application of Stall Dry. Will need to add a little new shaving today though.

Do you have food and water for them in their coop at night? I was wondering if I'm giving mine to much layer pellets, man they're pooping a LOT in the coop over night, and making a huge mess. Wondering if I should switch, and give them hen scratch at night in the coop, and layer pellets outside in the morning, or, no food and water at all at night. If The local farm supply has 'stall dry' I just might have to give some a try, along with the hay I already put in there, and have to change every other day now.

I have read that ducks shouldn't be without water for long periods of time because they can't store water in their bodies like chickens can. I don't leave food or water in their overnight pen however and they seem to do just fine.
