Duck breathes with his mouth open

What are you doing for him? That doesn't look normal .

@casportpony

I know, that's why we're worried. He's on medication for a parasite after we found blood in his poop - we let him out every day to scavenge across the yard. That has disappeared now, but he's still on antibiotics since we think it might be the same as our lost duckie, an infection that spread to his lungs. We're also cleaning his eyes multiple times a day for foam eye, but my sister was thinking it could be respiratory disease since he's showing some signs. We've gone to our local vet and they said they "don't know" so we'll check out that avian vet soon. Any idea if it could be respiratory disease, and if so, what we could do about that?

If he is having difficulty breathing then could very well be respiratory. which means he'll need an antibiotic @casportpony is a good one for meds.

Terramycin eye ointment is good for treating eyes you can find it at some feed stores and possibly TSC

You might want to ask the vet about Aspergillosis[brooder pneumonia]

Where do you keep your duck? what is he kept on bedding? food etc?

We need to know the name and doses of all medications he has had.
