That's neat, so similar to a chicken egg but slimmer
Pretty ducks, I have 3 snowy boys

We have loved, bred and raised call ducks in several varieties for almost 30 years.

What made you decide to get this breed? Their amazing personalities. Plus, due to their small size, one can have many of them. They come in a rainbow of colors. Each color seems to make their fellow varieties pop in color. Love when in the "off season" we have the different color varieties together in paddocks and aviaries. One sees a new color and we just have to have some of them as well. Call ducks are worse than potato chips---can't have just one color.

Do you own them for fun? Breeding? Some other purpose? For fun, first and foremost, but we do breed to the SOP, as we strive to improve the breed with each generation.

What are your favorite characteristics about this breed? They are quite talkative, especially the females. Can be clownish with their antics, which is very relaxing and entertaining. Females generally make devoted mothers.

Post some pics of your birds; male/female, chicks, eggs, etc! OK, just remember you asked for it. LOL Call duck palooza!

I always thought they were cute, then when the guy at the feed store gave me an injured drake, I had to get it a mate.
