Oh my gosh. I did not know that the drakes don't grow tail feathers. Now I'm going to have to re-evaluate all my "hens" to make sure they're all girls. I've been anxious about that since I ordered them because I knew vent sexing wasn't 100% with new hatches.
My drake has the trademark "sex feathers" (the curls), and a noticeably larger neck. He also sounds noticeably different; it would be hard to miss a drake among a flock of ducks.
