Duck Breed Focus - Silver Appleyard

Right the breeder is well known and I was given his name through the poultry show. People will buy his birds and when they sell the babies they list them that they come from his line of birds.

One quick search and I found a picture with an appleyard with blue on his wings..

Either way it does not matter. These are just pets and beautiful birds.

They definitely are beautiful!

Sorry if it came across that way, I wasn't trying to argue either! I was just trying to be helpful or see both sides or whatever, idk, i like hate confrontation so i kinda play both sides, it's bad haha but yeah, theirs does look like a Welsh, you're right about that, but they only had SA I think. Unless a welsh snuck in. Or Maybe the quality wasnt that great?

Either way, they're all beautiful haha

Just saw the new comment so clearly they are pure andngood quality so ignore this haha

Strange....as Ducklings they are Appleyard..:).....Strange....I dont want to argue...Possibly different strains...?....Mine are pure too and no cobalt blue in the drakes...I know people cross sometimes for better colouring and then breed back to pure....Not sure -why such a big difference?

Still We love our Ducks...:)....I really don't know ?..:(

Ravyn fallen is the best at this....:)

Must just be different strains maybe.

Kind of like how some show dogs are maybe taller or have a bigger head or whatever than another breeder's dogs because that's what they choose to breed for or focus on but they're all still pure.

Or like show Labs versus working Labs and the spaniels may as well be a different breed than their show counterparts LOL but all still pure.

Or like German Shepherds/GSDs, there are sooooo many different lines like East German, West German, American, Czech, etc. And then even within that certain breeders in the line might breed for better color or nerves or whatever but it's still West German or American or whatever and GSD.

Different breeders choose to focus on different things so there's bound to be some differences :)
