Duck breed not breedable?

Muscovies are a South American tree duck. Like Sparrow said, they're not related to our Mallard-based breeds (from Mallards to Rouens to Runners). I'm setting up my Muscovies as entirely different from any duck breeds I stick with since their behavior and, to a lesser degree, needs are so much different. I even read in one book that Muscovies were more like geese than ducks and from what I've seen I can believe it.

Especially since my Muscovy drake is currently top dog in our Pilgrim flock

See, that's what I thought. I thought that they should be considered a different species. LOL Just never really looked it up.

so far two have hatched, i will post pics soon, obvoiusly wont know what they will look like full grown nor if there boy or girl, but what i can tell you is that they are all yellow with a black head, more of a large black spot on there head not like a perfect black head like a mallards green is.

Mules tend to be VERY pretty ducks. They are quiet, like muscovies and make the same kind of noises. The females lay eggs, but they will not hatch- good for eating though..........
