Duck Breed

I don't think they're welshie and def not blue swedish. Here are some pics of my babies. The first is fawn and white runner (i was saying in the other thread that they kind of look like her) the middle pic is a blue Swedish and the last is a welshie. Welshies aren't all this dark but they're a darker yellow than your babies. Still though, they could be pekin mixed with these

Does anyone have a favorite breed of duck? I am looking for different breeds of ducks to have, other than my pekin and rouen ducks.....

My favorite breed is Muscovy, they act completely different than other ducks and make different noises. They are very entertaining to watch, and they are also some of the friendliest ducks ever. They don't quack either, the males hiss and huff while the girls coo. They are very quiet ducks.

I have Saxony, welsh Harlequin, blue Swedish & 2 Rouen mix.

My Saxony is by far the most inquisitive. My WH is a scardy cat & the lowest in the pecking order.
My Blue Swedish is in the middle of inquisitive but cautious.
My Rouen mixes especially the female are loud mouths & are always telling me off it seems.

As far as laying goes. My Rouen mix female never missed a day until she just stopped laying for the winter break. The other 3 took turns taking a day off here & there & stopped before my Rouen mix stopped.

My personal Favorite is the Swedish. I have a Blue Swedish, Black and they are the best. I also like the muscovy but where I live they are everywhere so its fun to have a unique duck in the neighborhood.

I have several different breeds. My swedish are very chill ducks and love foraging. My khakis are fearless and high energy. My saxony are very curious and most social of my mallard breeds. My welsh are the most skiddish but still sweet.

My muscovy are sweet, social and trouble makers. They are trouble makers because they are very smart. When they don't want to go into the coop at night, they can be very stubborn.
