Duck Breeding Post!

This is them now, my other ducks hatched these and I adopted/bought some of these. I’m using these guys in the future
 
No problem! Also something I’ve learned when incubating duck eggs is to spray them every so often. I had a significantly larger hatch rate when I did so. It mimics the momma duck hen.

Yes I did that to, but my a few incubations ago the eggs got smelly and infected then it infected all the other eggs and left a horrible smell for weeks so I had no hatches! How can I prevent this? I cracked open an egg to see... mold?

Do you candle the eggs to check fertility? Infertile eggs (or even fertile ones that died) can cause a smell if left in there. Sometimes they’ll explode causing an even bigger mess. I let the incubator trays (I have a cabinet type incubator) sit in scented pine sol cleaner for a few hours and then scrub them down. That gets the smell gone for me at least.
