Duck breeds

Hi,

I have 2 pet ducks and im wanting to know what breeds they are?

(I saved them from being killed and I am unsure of their age)

I do know 1 of them is male and 1 is female. I have had them for quite a while now and the female has never laid an egg.

Why would she not lay?

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad to have you onboard! I'm sorry, i know diddly squat about ducks, but I'm sure that other members will chime in at some point and help you out. Theres lots of info in the learning centre, so check that out if you have not done so already.

Sorry I don't know anything about ducks - maybe she is too young or too old to lay. If you put "duck thread," in the searchbox if will take you there . The duck folks would have much better answers for you . Welcome to Backyard chickens.

They are mixed and the female may be sterile..... Im no expert so its not set in stone but im good at identifying duck breeds
