Duck bumblefoot advice needed please

It depends on the washout period for that particular antibiotic. Eating (or selling especially) of the eggs too soon leads to drug resistant bacteria such as MRSA. It can also cause problems in those with immunity issues.

I have lupus (a nasty autoimmune disorder) and Sjogren's - I eat my ducks eggs - I'm still alive and thriving. I personally live by a natural life style and don't over medicate myself with steroids. I work my farm and maintain a very healthy lifestyle.

It's having ill and poor managed chickens that cause illness - not treating the illness the chickens have. This is the reason I never buy organic meat or eggs. I don't want to support anyone who doesn't treat their animals humanely and give them medical support.
My view on animals may be odd to some but they give us so much. In your case they are supporting you financially - now they are suffering from a very painful condition and you are allowing them to die slowly. IMO, it's cruel and animal abuse.

The antibiotics will be removed from their system and the eggs will be fine - Id love to see the science behind anything opposing this. Especially since most chicken scratch contains antibiotics, and as I having lupus never been affected by my ducks eggs.

ellieuki, I AM treating these ducks. That's exactly what I'm trying to do. I've tried multiple things and none working and still trying other things. I've just switched to penicillin. And hoping for the best.

After speaking with the Cornell Duck Research lab, Duramycin requires a 2-week withdraw period for eating or selling eggs. Penicillin a week.
