Duck bumblefoot foot please read

My duck dumpling was limping about a week ago and I noticed and checked him out saw it was bumblefoot and began treating, but now the bumble has fallen off and began to scar over but there’s still alot of swelling and hard to the touch on those parts, I'm worried the infection won't be able to come out.... vet isn't an option for me, what do I do keep up with the soaks and prid and vetercyin spray? I read you really shouldn't cut into them unless an emergency especially ducks cause if how complicated their feet are, plus risk of infection, etc. I just feel lost on what to do....
