Duck choking gasps for breathes

I agree a vet should always be the first go to, even if it's just for advice. Sadly most don't have that option and that's why they come to the BYC.

I agree, vets are always the best choice. If they aren't an option, it's up to us to help them find a solution. In this case, I think the place to start is figuring out if the bird has an obstruction. If the OP can post a video and some pictures I think we can all come up with a plan.

Were you able to feel her neck for any signs of something being stuck?
I know when my ducks get something caught in their throat they shake their heads real hard until it goes down.

If my ducks have trouble getting food down they will also scrunch their head and neck up and down (bobbing) to get the food to move. Does this look familiar at all?

Thanks everyone she is much better not doing th gasps at all for whole day. Felt her neck all feels ok to me. Will keep a close eye on her.
