Been off the site for a few days. My pair are 91/2 months now. Seems like yesterday. They were on duckling food then duck grower. They have no difficulties walking and certainly look healthy enough but just wondered if it is something I should give routinely. They get fresh fruit and veggies daily, natural yogurt and ACV in their water. Just switched my chickens and ducks to fermented food but the ducks are stubborn and won't eat it. My chickens devour it.

At that age, Younger, they have pretty much developed their nervous systems so the niacin in their pellets is most likely sufficient. A poultry vitamin with electrolytes and probiotics is good to keep on hand for times of stress. I added some to the drinking water tonight, since it's winter and the ducks have had to be indoors because of so much cold. Nevermind the two plus feet of snow in the day pen . . .

We go for long walks together on days like this. We don't go far from the house, but we walk around and around. And around

But still, vitamins from time to time are a good idea, in my opinion.

The ACV is also very good.

Ok. I'll pick some up and give everyone some spring tonic. Our winter has been brutal but so far everyone seems fine. I'm sure they can't wait for the grass though. Been feeding fodder and both the ducks and chicks go nuts for it.
