Duck coops

I have enjoyed reading and looking at pics of everyone’s duck houses. This is what we came up with and so far it has worked out great. It is in a temporary spot until we clear a larger area is the backyard. This was a rabbit hutch we enlarged it and made some modifications. One of the best things we did was sectioned off the water area so water can not be splashed around, it has stayed really dry and I feel better knowing they have access to water at night! The other side we have a hanging feeder. We put cheap flooring down the linoleum

tiles. I have a layer of shavings with straw on top of it. Everyday or every other day I rake out the dirty straw and put some fresh in. Love it, our duck condo!

Very nice duck house! Yes i feel better too if my ducks have water available at every time. Their waterer was empty one morning (i forgot to check in the evening) and they announced their thirst very loud at sunrise…
And keeping the water separate from the sleeping area helps a lot, by ducks have two bedrooms and one living/dining room in their house. I have to change the bedding only every 4-6 months.

I would love to see pictures. I felt guilty the few times skipped mucking it out for a day. It really wasn’t bad... lol
