Just came across this thread.
One of our muscovies has developed an intermittent cough - about a week into her laying cycle. She had a cough last laying cycle too, strangely, which we successfully treated with doxycycline after a vet visit. She appears completely normal otherwise - none of those other symptoms present.
Is this a normal thing? Immune system taxed by laying so more vulnerable? At this stage it only seems to be late night/early morning when she does it, and she's her normal happy self.
Would love to hear other muscovy owners experiences and advice, it's quite disconcerting!
