Duck days

Congrats on daughter! Waddle walks are cute. I wonder if ducks get jealous of new siblings like dogs and cats do?
Lol I thought the same thing! I think they will , I wouldn’t risk getting her toes out around them until she’s a little older for sure, my sister came with her dog this past weekend. , a bull terrier and we were worried for the ducks , well I had them locked in their house and they stayed at their door barking at the dog!!! They were not happy lol

Well I have a duck who has had two bad days in a row. The first day my brothers dog got her, and ran with her out the backyard then placed her down in a bush. I ran yelling at the dog and got the duck, she was very stressed but I checked her for wounds but luckily she didn’t have any, then I placed her with her mate Sumo and they walked off.

And yesterday she got stuck in netting. She was very stuck so I had to get her out, which didn’t take that long. Then once again I placed her with her mate Sumo. She is doing a great job at the moment at ending up in bad situations...
Just curious what kind of dog got your duck?

Oh and that’s why I think they would get jealous btw lol , they got jealous of the dog being out in their yard , my donut pecked my neighbors foot when she came once also

@Jillchapa86 I just noticed you have rubber ducks in your pool for your ducks to play with-that is TOO cute! We have chickens too and it wouldn't bother me a bit to find homes for a few of them but there are others that have the neatest personalities and I couldn't re-home them because I would miss them too much! It's amazing how attached you can get to a chicken, duck etc.
