x2... I’m really sick of people saying it’s cruel... that duck has a great life if it’s loved so much that the owner brought it into their home. It’s obviously a very domesticated animal. It’s not like your dropping a wild animal in the house!

I just recently ordered a duck diaper for my indoor pekin duckling off of Etsy, still waiting for it to arrive (says tomorrow).. but I’d love to figure out a way to make them myself! I can’t wait for it to arrive though cause my duck desperately wants to roam the house with the dogs, but he’s been confined to a large bin when unsupervised, the kitchen for meal times, and the back porch when he can be supervised. Though he’s currently asleep in my lap wrapped in a pillow case Etsy seems to have a lot of diaper harness options, but they are expensive..

have you contacted @Kkrista123? She has an inside duck and doesn't use diapers. Maybe she can give you some ideas about how she deals with the poop.

Why is it in the house and not outside?

It was hatched with its stomach outside its body and even though that’s healed, that area gets irritated easily and until/if it gets better, he stays inside. He gets supervised outside time daily, typically 5+ hours.

He wasn’t pleased with his picture being taken today. Can’t really see the chonk he is in these, I’ll try and get better ones when he’s in a better mood(his mortal enemy the neighbor’s dog is out right now)

Hi! I’ve decided to make my duck a diaper. I can’t seem to find a pattern though. I’m not the best with making my own either.

Has anyone ever made their own? And what pattern did you use?

Depending on the size of your duck you can use a baby pull-up.
