The duck eats with the others and swims with the others. It follows there lead but is usually swimming behind the other ones. How are the other ducks reacting to the new duck? Do they seem welcoming or is new duck being picked on? Does new duck hang out within the flock or does she(?) have to stay on the outside?
Would it be okay to let it stay with the ducks? It really doesn’t look like a domestic duck but could be a mix of wild and domestic. Really hard to say. We see a lot of mixes often where Wild Mallards have mixed with domestic ducks.
