duck egg: dead or alive?

how can you tell if a duck egg it dead or alive im just wondering because i have one and i am not sureif it is alive or not. Thank you!

People candle eggs using a very strong flashlight but, you also have to know what you are looking for. That's why it is best to ask on one of the duck threads. Have you tried gently tapping on the egg to see if it moves or makes sounds.

If the egg has been left in the cold for whatever days before you got it , it is probably not viable.

I always just put it in the brooder and in 7 days I get the answer ...
