My duck egg pipped yesterday and its been 24 hours and no signs of life. we kind of goofed on the incubation process but they look to be alive and well. i need an experienced duck hatchers input on this. Egg #2 has internally pipped but it has been 24 hours and no external pip. i think they might have died.

The one that has internally pipped, I would make a small safety hole on top of the Aircell side, use a sharp screw or a brad point drill bit, slowly twist back on forth until the tip enters the egg, no need to widen it further or you risk premature drying out of the membrane. Set the egg back in the bator and wait.

Ducks can easily take 72 hours from their first external pip to zip, leave the egg be for a while, they rest a lot during hatch.

What is your temp and humidity at?

Temp is 99.3 F/ 37.5 C Humidity about 70/80% I moved some of the loose egg bits back from the pipped and there is a hole you can see the duck though but no movement from duck

I'm going to give the 2nd one a few hours before I start making the safety hole
