Duck egg dead or still hatching?

Open the safety hole larger so you can see it's bill. If there is any blood STOP! You should be able to see it's bill chewing. It also could be sleeping hatching is hard work. Patience is a virtue in hatching ducks!

Read the article I attached above. That article has helped me many times and is very informative if you want to start to assist. I think it might be a good idea since it’s not moving at all. If I were you I might start to slowly remove small pieces of the shell around the pip hole. If you make the hole bigger you might be able to tell if it’s alive. Remember what Magnolia ducks said being patient is very important. Read the article and go very slow if you decide to do this. If you see blood stop once you have removed a bit of shell you might want to apply coconut oil to keep the membrane moist. Go slow little by little if you decide to assist. Check for movement once the hole is a bit bigger. remember STOP if you see any blood.
