Duck egg dead or still hatching?

I put the humidity too high during the first day and the power went out about 1 week in. We attached a battery backup to the incubator after that but it was gone for like 2 hours

Too high humidity can cause the air cell to shrink which would mean they would have a limited amount of time before they will suffocate, go put safety holes in the eggs and get back to us.

the safety hole is in. but we're getting besides the point HOW DO I SEE IF ITS ALIVE
Have you tried candling it and checking for movement? If the one that externally pipped isn’t moving it doesn’t sound too good but I’d leave it for a while to be sure. If it’s been 24 hours or more I might start moving tiny bits of shell around the pip hole but I’d wait and let someone more experienced than me such as @Isaac 0 continue to help you. Can you see the membrane through the hole? What color is it? It sounds like you’ve had some mishaps throughout the incubation process which is never good and could have caused problems.

i can see the duck through the pip. i've tried whistling at it, the membrane is definitely broken and it can wiggle through but its just sitting there. i just want a definite answer to get it to even twitch but no one is giving me any answers. i did move the shell theres a hole there that it can go through and its been more than 24 hours
