duck egg flavor

I am not talking about rubbery texture, I am talking about rubbery tasting FLAVOR.. I cooked them just like chicken eggs, over easy with a runny yoke, solid white,.. I am wondering about using them for baking, but if they taste like rubber I don't want the baking tasting like rubber, Does any one else ever experience rubbery tasting duck eggs or were my ducks just plain weird?? or did they just eat too many garden slugs?? cause they really cleaned up the slugs in the garden, that is for sure..Any more thoughts??

I've never had rubbery tasting duck eggs... That's quite interesting. Maybe its just your taste palate. Ask someone else you know to try them and see what they say. Don't tell them you think they taste like rubber because instantly their brain will make them think it. If they don't taste rubber, clean you palate. Eat a few apples or pickles for a couple days and it'll clean your palate.

Did you wash the eggs with soap?
Will this change the flavor?

I've never washed eggs, but it's good to know for the future if I give someone eggs and they ask. Sometimes I take a warm damp cloth and wipe dirty areas, but that's about it.

Yeah i washed one with soap because iam borderline stupid and it tasted AWEFULL

Polishing them up with water before you cook thems fine
