Duck egg hatching problem!!!

Help!!! My duck eggs are having trouble hatching!! I assisted one because of a problem with the membrane but I don’t know what’s happening!!

Can you give us some more information, like what date you set the eggs on, what the temperature in your incubator is, whether your incubator is still air or forced air, and what the humidity is in your incubator?

The picture you posted, it looks like the external membrane is turning yellow, which is a sign of it drying out and the humidity not being high enough. Also, I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the duckling might not have pipped into the air cell?If so, that would mean it's malpositioned, but I also can't see its beak in the picture. Did it make that hole or did you?

Also, I would remove the wet paper towel from around the egg. That can actually chill the hatching duckling.

i set the eggs 1/26/18, and the humidity should be around 60%. The duck did pip around 2 days ago but was completely inactive and I guess I mistook it as sign for assistance. I’m not too sure about whether it’s pipped into the air cell or whether it’s malpositioned though.

I also put a little but of coconut oil to help me see where the blood veins are and stuff. Do you think this duck will hatch? It doesn’t seem to be making any progress at all.

Actually if it did pip two days ago and there has been no progress since, that is an indication that it may need help. I am not seeing any blood in that membrane; if that is correct, it may be ready to hatch. Is it struggling or pushing against the membrane? Is it making any yawning or chewing motions? If yes to the first and no to the second, you might want to gently peel the membrane back. Of course, stop if you see any blood.

I actually had to peel off the membrane because It dried and stuck on. But It worked! He/she hatched after i left for school!
