i have a duck egg that I brought from a supermarket and it is hatching. I am currently on 26 and I can see the duck moving next to the air sack but it has not internally popped yet as I cannot hear the little duckling in the egg. I can see the egg slightly rocking from time to time which I guess is a good sign. Please I need help this is my first time incubating duck eggs and it is my first time incubator any type of eggs/types of eggs. Is it normal for internal pipping to have not happened even at this stage/day of incubation. PLEASE I NEED HELP I AM WORRIED.

@williamatkins ...any progress??[/QUOTE yes I think that I can see the beak it is very small tough. I do not hear any chirping. The duckling is just fine though moving around as the egg is rolling and when you candle him/her there is a lot of movement. But there is a slight fluorescent - yellowish colouring around what I think that is he beak? Any suggestions of what this could be? By the way I do really appreciate the replies!

Can you post a pic?
That would really help.
I think duck eggs go 28 days...so maybe you're OK??
@WVduckchick is great at helping duckling hatches.

Day 26 is right on time to see shadowing in the air cell, and eventually internal and external pips!
Ducks can easily take 2 days to fully hatch, from the time they pip. Much slower than chickens.

Good luck!!
