It's actually the females that determine the gender of the offspring in birds, so it's actually the girls that you'd wanna keep in that scenario

Haha, it would be great if they could pick. But it's luck of the draw; whatever the gender is of the egg that's released is what gender the duckling will be. But it could definitely be possible for the females to be more with more female eggs than male eggs.
