They are Cayuga/Call Duck Hybrids

Has anyone heard of this hybrid because I have a few questions...

1. What color will these ducklings most likely look like?

2. At day 20 all 6 eggs were opaque except for their air sac...are they alive?

3. Will they be mule ducks (Unable to reproduce)?

4. When should I expect them? (They brooder is all hooked up and ready!)

5. Is my humidity good at 63 degrees Fahrenheit?

6. How long should they dry off for?

I had an offer for these but I didnt take it because I just got 18 Pekin eggs. I cant wait to see what they look like!! These are the two types that I wanted so why not just mix them! It should be just 4 days from now until they start hatching! Good luck and make sure you take a lot of pictures!

I would like to know the answers to a couple of your questions too. I have about 30 duck eggs in the incubator(my first time hatching duck eggs and some of them are mixed). It should only take 28 days for them to hatch. I have had lots of people tell me on day 25 to raise the humidity to 80%.

No freaking clue

They most likely are. Was the air cell about 1/3 the size of the egg?

3. Will they be mule ducks (Unable to reproduce)?
No, that only happens when you cross a mallard derived duck with a muscovy.

4. When should I expect them? (They brooder is all hooked up and ready!)
they may not pip until day 28. It could still be a couple of days from them to completely hatch out after that.

5. Is my humidity good at 63 degrees Fahrenheit?
In Colorado I have to have the humidity higher.

6. How long should they dry off for?
Depends...put em in the brooder when they look fluffy. I had to move my first hatch while it was still wet because my incubator had a design flaw and the little goober was trying to jump on to the fan

I have a khaki campbell drake x cayuga duck flock. They are sexlinks. The drakes are black and the ducks are brown. I don't know if a cross with a call will work the same way.

well i can say call ducks come in different colors. i have heard of white and gray anyway. cayuga are black. so some could be black or some might take after the call duck. so who knows you could have different colors

If you end up with a line of Call sized ducks with a Cayugas coloring I want to buy some eggs!! I just love the coloring of Cayugas! I want these next.
