Sounds like they have a lot of gooy stuff, what happens is that gooy stuff confines them and basically stops them from growing and adventurally suffocates them, sometimes though you can get really lucky and they manage to make an external crack, then you can help them out, this takes lots of time and a lot of cleaning. Because you have to wipe all that gooy stuff off and get it out of that shell the tricky part is not to intervene until at least they are passed there due date.
So once they are past there due date check them, look for movements, if they are still moving, make them a safe hole and will see if we can get one out ok. It's going to be a long long process, lots of patiences and long sleepless nights.
If they are not moving, open them up, you'll know exactly what I mean by thick gooy stuff.
You really can't do much until after the due date, I have tried an experiment on gooy eggs and was unsuccessful, so someone took my idea and changed it a little and it worked for her. So this experiement that has been attempted is not a guarantee, until we can get it down successfully all the time..
We shall come up with a solution for helping gooy, sticky babies out successfully..
Yep, that yellow blobby spot, is your gooy stuff..
Keep the humidity low, I kept mine at 20 to 30 I spray once, If I recall though when I hatched out Sassy, I didn't spray her at all. But try to spray at least once, How are the other eggs, any progress? are they still moving, has it been past the due date?so i got some more duck eggs in the incubator. what should the humidity be at its day 5 should i start spraying them? i would like to get it right his time.
none have hatched yet its day 29 i got 1 that has that goo at the top 2 that look like they should be hatching well the one with goo in the top looks like it should be hatching too. i got 6 that have goo on both sides. i dont know how long to wait before i should try to save them. im gonna be really sad if i love them all
so with a forced air incubator should it still be at 20-30 humidity?
