Hello!
We had a duck killed yesterday morning and whoever killed it (I’m not sure if it was the mom or dad) also got most of the eggs. There are 2 left. I didn’t see the other duck on them all day today and was wondering if they were okay enough to still try and hatch?? I’ve never done anything like this but I just feel awful letting them sit there alone.
Is there a time frame of how long eggs can go without being sat on?? Is trying pointless?? Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you so much!

I'm so sorry for your loss. How far along are the eggs? The eggs need to be kept at 99F. Depending on the temperature where you live and how far along they are, the may not be alive anymore. Candle the eggs and see if you see any movement. Post pictures of the candled eggs if you can.

How many ducks do you have. Just one? Can you post a picture?
