Duck eggs, Yuck???

I have a friend at work who wont eat brown chicken eggs because she thinks they are gross! Store bought or otherwise

I have 7 ducks that lay andI can't give their eggs away. everyone says they taste strong even my husband. So what to do I end up cooking them and giving them to my dogs, I am not a big egg eater but I do eat duck eggs and have no problem, and yes they are great for baking. I think alot of this is in our heads!

i haven't noticed much of a difference in taste from my chickens' eggs from the store bought eggs when i eat them scrambled, i haven't tried them anyother way yet. they are a little tastier and the yokes are certainly darker than those from the store.

they have made great cookies, brownies and cakes, the stuff seems to come out fluffier and sets better.

i was hoping to eventually get ducks, so this is good to know not to tell people when i've used either type!

I must admit That I too was a skeptic of duck eggs I had them all summer but wouldn't eat them, but recently i cooked one up and ate it!!!! I loved them, i really didn't think they tasted any different than chicken eggs to me. plus there bigger you only have to eat one instead of 2 or 3. They are definitely darker in the color of the yolk, but just as tasty and I read that free range eggs are SO much better for you!

My husband loves a fried duck egg for breakfast, he prefers duck eggs over chicken eggs. To me, an egg tastes like an egg. I don't notice any difference.

I prefer brown chicken eggs to white. Is there really a difference. To me they seem to taste better, but it might all be in my head.

I like how duck eggs have water-clear whites. Chicken eggs have a slight yellowish cast to their whites. To me, the duck eggs just look more appealing. I give a lot of eggs to a friend with 3 kids. She will ask them what they want for breakfast, eggs or cereal? They ask, duck eggs or chicken eggs? If she says duck eggs they eat them; if she says chicken eggs they go with the cereal!

I keep hearing about duck eggs having a darker yolk. I don't find that in my duck eggs vs chicken eggs. I also find that my chicken eggs seem stronger tasting and couldn't be tastier!
