My Pekins lay white eggs; my mallards and blue swedes lay off-white.
The darker eggs do look like some Cayuga eggs I saw at a county fair once, if that's any help.
@Miss Lydia might know...
Will they stay on the eggs to hatch if I don’t pick them up?Blue Swedes and Pekins both lay eggs very frequently (not quite daily, but close) during the breeding season, and Blue Swedish and Mallards lay daily when they're about to go broody. Mallards lay sporadically if they're not about to go broody.
Mallards usually will. Blue Swedish often will. Pekins almost never will, and, of course, it varies by individuals within the breed. No idea about Khakis.Will they stay on the eggs to hatch if I don’t pick them up?
