Duck eggs!

I’m gonna try this! Thank you!
One of the boys keep going in laying on the nest today I tried tapping one that I know for sure was moving yesterday to see if it moved but nothing! Could they die this close to hatch day?
They could die. Do you have an incubator you can put them in? That would be a wise move

If she has been off the nest for two days, they are possibly dead.
Are they cold/cool to the touch?
Do you have an incubator you could use for these eggs in case they are alive?
Since she isn’t staying on the eggs, I would re-candle and check for ANY movement.
They are still warm I have been keeping check multiple times a day she covers them when she does get off of them I’m gonna try the water thing I did pull out the for sure bad ones yesterday but now I’m worried. I don’t have an incubator this was an accidental clutch she laid on when she first started laying it took us about minute to find her eggs cause she was free ranging we collected those then she made her a nest hid close to my in-laws house and went broody so we moved the nest and her to a fence she’s been doing great but now that we have reached the end it’s like she’s done. She is being protective and even chasing the birds that eat their feed.

This is a good sign she is still commited. What breed is she and how old is she? There are good incubator online, I got one for just under 100 NZD (thats like 46 USD or something) and it is a great incubator I can send the link to one if you like. It is always good to have an incubator as backup. Is the duck aggressive to you?

She was when she would be on the nest but once I let her bite me she was fine. She is not very old not even a year old and she is a pekin.

If they are still warm and she is still setting, my suggestion is to put them back in the nest and let her continue. The 28 days is just a standard but can vary with temp and humidity changes.
I’d just keep a watch and let her continue setting.

Pekin - haven't had experience with those. Do the water testing tonight, because that is when you can candle them. Plus she'll be halff asleepand you can take them from under her. Which country are you in?I'm in New Zealand we have a different time zone than most of the world

Yes this isa good point. I had a duck hatch on day 31 once in an unstable incubator

Okay I have googled a homemade emergency incubator just in case! I will keep you updated thank you for taking the time to reply and help calm my nerves a little!

I am in Alabama and Mother Nature has a mind of her own here so it’s been like spring the past two days but last week was stormy and cold then the rest of this week will be like winter for us.
