duck food

Hello, I live in New York and in the winter I have to feed my ducks organic chicken feed which is grains . Does anyone know if there is any feed available that consists of their natural diet?
Thank You
Diana

Welcome neighbor!!!
I give mine all flock crumble in winter time. It has a higher protein % and they have been doing great on it.

We feed our Indian Runner Ducks Scratch and Peck Organic Layer Feed with Corn in the winter: https://www.scratchandpeck.com/shop/soy-free-layer/

Of course, we also give them plenty of greens such as romaine lettuce and kale, as well as special treats like peas, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, and bananas. Occasionally, they'll chow down on squash or pumpkin innards.

If your ducks free range, they'll get a fair amount of natural protein from slugs, snails, worms, grubs, spiders, crickets, and other creepy/crawly snacks.
