Duck Food

I don’t know why but I saw your chill spot as chili pot and had to take another look at that :p I need new glasses!
My daughter and I stopped at a BP station yesterday so she could get something to drink. I waited in the car and there was an advertising sign on the window that I thought said "Corona Hand Sanitizer" but it actually said "Corona Hard Seltzer"

Ah! Here we go

There is a fairly new food out from Purina called Duck pellets and it's good for both males and females. It is good for them from birth - adult.

The only thing you've got to supplement is oyster shells which should be put in a separate container where the girls can eat it when they need it. They instinctively know when they need to eat it.

If you've got a mixed flock with chickens then you would need an "all flock".

You can see the little oyster shell container I use right behind the water bucket. It's just a plastic coke bottle cut in 1/2 and wired onto the pole so they can't tip it over. I've put drain holes in the bottom of it too.

Do you ever have issues with rain with your oyster shell set up? I have been trying to think of one for myself, but was worried about it getting wet.

I do offer oyster shell when they are a bit older...I'm actually using it as "mulch" in part of my "chill spot". Looks nice and the birds forage and scratch through it for the perfect pieces 😂
