Silly dogs wanted the big pool , kicked poor Kurtis (aka "are you a duck/you're a duck) out and made a nice muddy pool :barnie:love 20180619_114829.jpg

Also.. just took a chance and ordered fertile duck eggs
Things I've read: check air sac when they arrive, allow them to settle on counter pointy side down 12-24hrs?, don't use auto turner for first few days in incubator (hova 2370), depending on air sac incubate in egg carton with pointy down turning by hand. I'll keep searching through the forums about shipped duck eggs incase I missed anything... send us good hatching vibes! I'm already sending my own good vibes out in hopes of receiving good fertile eggs :D pretty excited up here on the mtn

I'd love to see your pool visitors too if you'v got 'em or anything I should be aware of with
Shipped eggs

Love the dogs in the pool. Luckily my pools are beyond my dogs’ reach, or they would be in them too :D

Sounds like you have done your homework on the eggs. I’ll be happy to help with any other questions you might have. Best of luck hatching them. And beware, it’s an addiction! :clap

Good vibes going out...~~~~~~~

@WVduckchick can probably help you with shipped eggs.

No pool visitors here except ducks and geese dogs aren't allowed in with them unless I am with them geese aren't too nice this time of year[ornery]

I've been reading about Geese they sound pretty intelligent , and turkeys, and well anything you can hatch in an incubator haha

Thanks! I'm trying to get all the information from the depths of the internet.. or at least enough to pretend I have an idea of what I'm doing. I've got my incubator tested and in my closet, seems to be the least drafty place. I've got one extra therm inside it right now and will be hitting some stores tomorrow to get some extras and a humidity thing. Anything else I should have on hand?
