Duck has a claw pulled out 1/2 way?

I can't say what will happen with your duck, but when I first got my duck Nettle she was an adult missing a nail. She was overmated by drakes and beat up and I assume it happened then. A few months later a smaller nail grew back, and then fell out/got torn out about a year later. Another year passed and a new nail grew back, and 4 years later is still there!

However, with my duck Pigweed, who has never been mated by a drake, I noticed one day that she was missing a nail. It never grew back. It has been at least 4 years now.

Separated from drake, no blood, wound clean but claw is gone? Is this serious? Will it grow back?

I have a drake that broke off his toenail like that and it is slowly growing back.

well this evening darkness fell too fast and by the time we got to the duck enclosure our drakes (2, the docille one and alpha) haf both managed to jump the baby gate divider and get into the lady's part of the coop!! lol happened over a three hour time period lol..Thankfully no one injured, we did divide then back out and put them on the drake side. Hubby said he found them all four in a happy sleeping heap of feathers at the girl's house lol.
