Duck has its mouth open. What's wrong?

Something stuck on her throat?

How can I tell? How do I get it out if it is?

My husband and I just looked and it seems like her tongue is swollen toward the back of her mouth.

I wonder if she has been stung. Do you know a vet you could ask about an anti-inflammatory?

I called my regular vet yesterday but they don't do any birds and didnt really have any ideas. I'm gonna try to find an avian vet tomorrow. We do have a lot of honey bees so she couldve tried to eat one I guess. We didn't see any red marks or anything except the swelling though.

It does sound like a sting maybe she ate one and it stung her. You might try googling and see if you can give ducklings Benedryl[childrens] I'll go look and see if i can find some info. Could not find any info on whether you can give Benedryl to water fowl. If you could it would help take the swelling down.
