im sure its been there for a few days.. just thought it was dirt at first but this morning i noticed its still there so i know for sure its something that needs attention. shes a really good duck and sweet.

My pekin got the same thing
Started when she started to lay eggs
Now her beak is almost fully black
She had also started to get black spots on her feet and legs
She is 2.5 years old and healthy
Her daughter that is pekin cross who came out pure white also started the beak spots when she started to lay and is 3/4 black beak with spots starting on her feet now too
She is 1.5 years old
It’s nothing to worry about

well i just wondered if it was he water.. shoud i use apple cider vinager in there water? because the pong has a lot of algae.. it just green. my husband thinks everything is fine but he doesnt pay attention to the animals like i do unless i think its serious ill let him know and hell help me figure out cause.. every other duck doesnt have spots

w that is interesting i just read its melanin thats already present and the more eggs it lays the darker it gets

It’s honestly nothing to worry about
By now my duck would be dead if it was
She started spots 2 years ago
Never had any kind of infection or issue from her
It’s a hormone thing
Giving acv in water won’t hurt but Also need to provide a normal water
