The fellow hatching my Call duck eggs let me know he candled a couple of them tonight and saw good vein development in the ones he looked out.

The kids and I are so excited. I just set 6 Rouen eggs this morning before the kids headed out to school. This is our first time ever incubating.

Awesome!!! I peeked at a couple of my Call eggs last night and at 5 days in I'm seeing the start of babies! WOOHOO!

Two more weeks for my first batch, three more weeks for second batch. Then I've got another small batch 3 days behind that. I hadn't planned on staggered hatch hell again so soon, but let the eggs fall where they may!

I definitely have some butterscotch babies started. Fertility is not where it should be yet in the pastels, it would seem. This is the first batch of the year, and the girls just started laying on the 13th, though. Some of my birds are last years hatch so I guess they are trying to get the hang of it. But I do have several developing!
