Duck having trouble swimming

My neighbors LOVE LOVE them! It's so much nicer having them out in the community!

I keep a clean dog crate under a tree and also wrap a black nice looking dog fence around the double latched crate for extra protection at night. I don't feel right about just letting them sleep under a bush at night. Worried predators would get them.

But the neighbors get up early and feed them and let them out for me since I work early in the morning. Glad to see that even in an HOA neighborhood there is support - it takes a village to raise these guys!

If you don’t mind me asking what’s a HOA neighbourhood?

one with a home owner's association. I checked the guidelines before getting the babies and there isn't anything about having ducks or poultry, and one of the neighbors has a goose. But still was concerned that since it's a suburban neighborhood where you get assessed for having grass in the sidewalk cracks, there could be a problem. Seems we're fine, mostly bc of the pond - that pond is great!

I haven't noticed her limping. I will keep an eye on it. I just noticed this for last two days and I don't think she was doing this last week.
I also notice - if you look at the video - that she seems to sit "lower" in the water.

Sorry didn’t know this was a female. How old are they now. I was just wondering if you noticed her having trouble walking and maybe that was why she was having trouble in the water.
