I don't even have to do something like this: If i only come close to the bag with the meal-worms the watch-duck alerts and everybody comes running and flying. Serious addiction problem! The same applies now for the bag with the cat food…
And yes, ducks understand very well what you want from them if you follow the same ritual every time you put them to bed. If i say »Alle Enten gehen jetzt schlafen« (All ducks go to bed now) at bed-time most of them turn around and run straight into the house, except for Limpy and Curiosity Duck. They like to play games and require a bit more attention.
My gander will actually run over anyone In his way,everyone has learned to part when they see him coming. He also will step in buckets to get to his treats. I have to make sure nothing is out in the open.
