duck house ideas

Here's an update. Got my duck house delivered. Found a guy who builds sheds. He built it then delivered to my yard. It was a great price and he even made me a little duck door. Now just wondering if anyone has suggestions on lights for inside. I would like to put a regular light inside for when it starts to get dark early in the evening and i plan on getting a separate heat lamp for the winter. any one have ideas they want to share.

Being in NW montana I cant say it gets as cold as you folks up north, but the main thing is ventilation and humidity. If you like see my thread cause I got all worried last winter....it is the third thread down in my signature.

It got down to -25.5 Centigrade last winter, overnight. Chickens were fine. They heated the coop and snuggled together. I would not have believed it if I didn't do all the measurements. And ducks are even better feathered than chickens.

Your going to get many posts about heat.....I'm near Stony Plain , Alberta....20 minutes West of Edmonton....Brrr...It gets cold...
Yeah im west of ponoka so it gets quite cold in the winter. you know my pain. what kind of set up do you have in stony plain. insulated and heat lamp????. I also want to just put in a regular shed light for when it starts getting dark before 8pm.
