Do you have a pump or filter for the pool. Ours always gets so nasty within hours. We are trying to figure out a way to keep it clean without emptying it every time

I am sorry for such a delay in responses to your question. I am new to this site and not real sure how to navigate it yet. So I did reply but it was sent to the wrong place. So your question was do we have a pump the answer is no. I re-fill it every couple of days. The pool is a 50 gallon water livestock tank. I did have 6 ducks but recently had to cull some of the drakes so now I have 3 and would imagine it will take a day longer to get real bad. I have noticed with such high temperatures that tank is getting algae pretty quickly. I did not want to use bleach to clean out the tank for fear it might hurt my sweet ducks and drakes. So I used vinegar and elbow grease and it cleaned up real well. Did the same with my beautiful geese pool.

We have a hole at the bottom of the tank with a pipe that has a faucet attached so I can empty it with gravity force. I attached a hose to the faucet and put the hose into a trench I dug to allow the water to run away from my poultry pens. I also use the water from the duck pond to water my garden before the produce started to come out. The plants love it even the flowers.

I hope that helps.
